Withdrawal
Our cable went out yesterday at 3:30pm. At 5 I called and got a recorded message:
"If you are a resident of County A, County B, County C, County D and County E there is no need for you to stay on the line. We are aware of technical issues with internet services and are working to correct the problem."
At midnight there was still no service.
I had a meeting with the custom cabinet guy. He can indeed meet my budget. He understands exactly what I want. He even said he could begin the job September 1 and finish up in 2 months or less.
He does incredible work. Some of the most beautiful pieces I have ever seen. He also reeked of alcohol. I am now trying to decide if I want to work with a man who stinks of liquor before 11 am. If the past has taught me nothing it is you should never trust a drunk.
It rained again all day long. It is still rainy now. I guess we will mop and wax floors today -unless I find a book to read.

Dont do what Susie Sunshine did when she cleaned her floors.
Sounds like it was a little wild at her house.
That cabinet guy poses a dilemma. Does wonderful work -- but will he finish it? Might be wise to have a talk with him if it occurs again. Good luck, kid. (with the floors)
Maybe he had a long night on the town?? I would meet with him one more time..don't give him any $ until he's done!!!
If you hire him, then every payday get him all liquored up, have him sign a receipt, and pay him nothing. He won't remember and I bet after a few weeks he doesn't want to drink a drop. I'd definitely meet with him again, and if he still reeks of alcohol tell him to cut his bid in half, because you don't want to get stuck with half assed work. (is that a long enough run on sentence?)
