July 4th 2004
"Right here, in the middle of the kitchen garbage with the kids downstairs," Steven lowered himself to his knees, "Will you marry me?"
"Yes," through a storm of tears, "yes, I will."
Later that evening we ate BBQ, watched fireworks and a performance by The President's Own.
Steven wanted it to be special and part of a historical event. I think he succeeded.

What do you most remember about the day, the fireworks or the BBQ? (Teehee).
Hugs on a special day,
Hoss
Happy Anniversary Angie & Steven!! Best wishes & hugs for a special 4th and many more to come:-)
Hey, you two, Happy Anniversary of the proposal, at least! That's a good way to be able to remember it - you go, Steven!!
He's a smart man. He married you AND he will NEVER forget your anniversary having picked that date.
Happy Independence Day, Angie!
Wow...what a special way to propose! Happy anniversary and Independence day!
You are mentioned in my post this a.m., Angie.
Sounds like you have a very thoughtful, kind, wonderful man this time. What a blessing! What a great 4th memory, too! :-)
P.S. Hope you felt great this weekend - no sickness to speak of...
Awwww, I got shivery hearing about it a whole year later. Way to make sure it's a day with fireworks every year, Steve!
