I was told by some moron that heartbeats 140 and up a minute are males. First kid was in the 140s and was a boy. Second kid was in the 120's so I started buying pink shit. (After the ultrasound I returned it all.)
Today I get excited about good sounding hearts. Yay baby with the strong heart! Keep up the good work!
First, a huge smile broke out across my face when I read about the baby's heartbeat. No matter what is going on in this world, a baby will always make us smile inside. I'm really happy for you!!
Second, I hope Gracie is feeling better, no more nosebleeds! What a frusturating situation at the ER. that was just maddening.
Third, I do the same thing with shopping for things offseason. Right now they're discounting the summer stock because the Christmas (ack!) season things are arriving in the stores.
and Fourth, i'm off to chek out the mattress prices, my youngest daughter needs a new twin mattress!!! thanks for the tip.

Angie, I thought of you all night! I just watched a great TV program on the National Geographic channel about the whole 9 months in the womb. Most of the photos were shot directly in the womb showing the development of the baby. It was great! Maybe it will be repeated and you can see it?
Oh yeah, I think if it's consistently over 140 beats per minute it's a girl- Mine was and her beats were always high 140s and up. Probably just an urban legend, but what the hey? It's my two cents.

Excellent news! God, it seems like so long ago that I listened to my own babies' heartbeats. Probably because it WAS so long ago.
