A Long Saturday
I have created a journal just for my recipes. I have only imported the recipes that were in posts here. I plan to add many more.

On the advice of MommaK I ordered this BBQ sauce for my Christmas baskets. All I can say is if you like good BBQ then order this sauce before I buy it all and there is none left for you.
I cooked a pork tenderloin this week. We have eaten about 1/4 of it. The rest I was going to chop for BBQ and put in the freezer. Tonight for supper I chopped all the meat up. It was alot. We used 2 bottles of the sauce to make wet BBQ.
My husband is a lover of BBQ and he said to me 3 different times before dinner just from licking the spoon, "That is really good BBQ sauce." He NEVER repeats himself or makes a big deal out of food or flavors.
Steven's stamp of approval means something! Order it now and enjoy some good BBQ this fall. (I bought a case *blush*)
I also made coleslaw.

Him: Go to google and seacrh groundhog in images.
Me: ok (going to google)
Him: page 14
Me: (clicking over to page 14)
Him: Shaking his head
Me: Does it shock you to see yourself on google?
Him (still shaking his head)
See the google here.
See the actual photo here.
Why am I telling yout his. We are infested with groundhogs again. Everything he had repaired in the barn has been un-repaired by groundhogs.
Frustrating is a mild word for this problem.

For the second time in a week Steven has gotten the tractor stuck in our muck of mud from over a week of rain. Dummy me forgot to get the camera on both occassions so I have no photos. The mud was so thick and caked on the tractor he had to wash it with the pressure washer.

What's on TV tonight?

Saturday night TV is a vast wasteland as usual.
Thanks for creating the recipe file; I bookmarked it and will recommend it to friends on the lookout for new recipes. Hope you are feeling well nowadays; I guess the hand problem is gone or you wouldn't be posting.
I'm so glad you all like the sauce!! It is one of our addictions here as well. I also order it by the case ;-)
I have also bookmarked your recipe page. Thank you for doing that. I'll let you know when I wow the pants off off my family with them.
TV tonight...hmmm...I just picked up the first season of LOST on dvd. I'm going to try and watch that on the treadmill. I hope I don't get scared.
Judy was right- nothing on TV once football was over- which I never watch but the Michigan/Penn State game was unbelievably exciting. Everything else was reruns. Tonight is good, I think- I'm planning on working HARD all day and then settling down in my flannels to watch. The season changed here over night! I knew it when I woke up, heard the furnace click on and saw both cats on the bed; they've been out at night since April.
I love this recipe file!. The chili sounds great. I'll probably monkey around somewhere between your recipe and mine and see what happens. I can so much of the stuff in advance that we mostly just add beans and meat. One good addition to the ground beef is Amy's Chicken Maple Apple Sausage. If you can't find them at the store you can get them here:http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00092R3OK/002-6344758-2896822?v=glance
These have a great flavor that compliments, without disrupting, chili, jambalaya, etc. Also great straight up on the grill. Anyway- the file link makes it easy to copy all your recipes.
Speaking of the "girls" getting together- if someone had the energy we could pool our blog resources and put out the first blog cookbook for christmas with proceeds to somewhere. That would be fun! Not as fun as riding around in a travel trailer caravan, but fun.
What do you think? We should check around with others.
Groundhogs! I abandoned the veggie garden to my two and they're having a blast with the remains. If they start in on the substance of the house, I get a gun. And hey! There could be worse ways for Steve to show up in Google....
You need a cougar. Or a wolf. I don't know if they're on eBay.
I just added your recipes link to my sidebar because I love it so much. You're such a Martha for real people, Angie! :)
Here's hoping MommaK DOESN'T 'WOW' the pants off her family - it would not be a pretty sight!
Your Chili recipe looks yummy and I like the way you guide the cook with your suggestions. Makes my mouth water and sparks my senses! I also like making it with either ground turkey or chicken to lessen the guilt (!)
Cool, I"m going to bookmark the recipe journal also. I had plans to make your chili and your biscuit recipe also. now I can refer back to the site when I need to!
and, LOL.. how did Steven's pict end up on google?
LOL! What makes the pic even funnier is his "You Don't Know Me" tshirt....as if he's trying to convince the people who DO know him that really, they don't.
;)
Lovely pix of your house!!!
