Thursday Thirteen -Updated***

13 Super Sweet Morsels about Angie
1. I think I want/am ready for a seasonal change for the look of this journal. Updated - I did it. I changed my theme just for Halloween. This is a pinup girl by Gil Elvgren. I prefer Vargas but he doesn't have a halloween pinup that I have seen or have in my book. Vargas will be next month and the month after. 1a. I always wanted to be a Vargas girl.

2. Steven is working from home today and we are sitting together working quietly on our laptops.

3. I am waiting for one item to be delivered and Gracie's room will be finished. Due to this holding pattern I am having trouble starting the next room because the nagging "not finished" keeps at me and I just can't start that room until Gracie's is totally complete.

4. I am proud of Colby. She has a solid A average in all of her classes.

5. Warmth and humidity has returned to Virginia and I am not real happy about it.

6. I had planned to go up to the attic and pull out my maternity clothes of long pant and long sleeved shirts but it is so warm now I am not at all motivated to go up there and drag them out and wash them all. That sounds very lazy.

7. Nearly everything I have eaten in the past 3 days has given me heartburn -even a glass of water.

8. I am having a sonogram on the afternoon of the 19th. I hope they can tell what the sex is.

9. The handyman did not come last week. He called and will come this week.

10. Our little Koi pond seems to be a very healthy and thriving ecosystem. We have many tiny little fishes swimming around in there now. I think next spring we will have to get rid of many fish.

11. I am trying to decide wether or not to cut my hair. It is very long, past mid-back. Or should I wait until after the baby comes and go for that new mom needs a new look phase?

12. Have I ever told you I love old cemeteries? I used to do headstone rubbings and have one (somewhere) of my 9th great-grandmother.

13. Wow, I made it to thirteen and it was harder than ever to come up with 13 things.

Hi Angie! I linked your Thirteen, here's mine:
Leanne's Thirteen

I believe EWebscapes.net is going to be having a holiday skin sale if you want a new theme for your blog.

I say if you want to cut your hair, now is the time to do it. It grows super fast during pregnancy so if you decide you want it long again you should be well on your way by the time you deliver! :D

I did some headstone rubbings of my family from back in the Civil War. We have a whole cemetery up in PA. Interesting stuff.

If you want to cut your hair- cut it. Or dye it blue, shave it off, get a mohawk. Do whatever your big heart desires because it will always grow back. Hair is nice and easy like that. (this is coming from someone who has had the same hair style since she cut her hair after her last pregnancy 6 years ago)

I am so excited that you are finding out the sex of the baby. Will you tell us?

I had the worst heartburn when I was pregnant too. My husband did too. Sympathy heartburn:)

I would love to have a Koi pond! That's going on my list! Congrats on expecting! What are you 'hoping' for? Here's my 13.

Don't cut your hair. Yipee Colby, but never a doubt she is one smart cookie!! What is the one item to complete Gracie's room? Love the new look on the journal. Try papaya extract pills for the heartburn. Hello Steven, don't work too hard. Are you going to tell us the gender of the baby? Do you really want to know? Koi ponds are lovely. Halloween brings out some funny headstone readings. I agree thinking of 13 things is hard. Is 13 lucky for most people or not? I only leave comments, lol.

Hi Angie, Just giving you a wave as I jump thru Leanne's list of bloggers for Thursday's Thirteen. My two cents... short hair is easier to take care of, except you have to keep trimming it.

I LOVE the new look! You should design blogs, Angie. Starting with mine. LOl

We had a Koi pond but the birds kept coming in to eat the Koi. So now we have cheap feeder goldfish , 12 for a dollar. *sigh*.

Got any picts of Gracie's new room?

I just posted mine, which ended up having a strange food-related theme. Completely unintentionally.

The warmth and humidity are back in Ohio too - bad news for the jack-o-lanterns we've already carved :)

I love the new look, Angie, especially since my birthday is near Halloween and I have always loved that holiday. I always wanted to be a Vargas girl, too. I used to babysit for a family who took Esquire Magazine back when Vargas had a girl in every issue. I couldn't wait to get over there and see what he had new!

Love the spooky theme! Very nice work Ang. As usual ;-)

Good morning, Angie. In ref. to your comment: I also repeat myself, but I have to if I need to make sure he heard me. He calls it nagging. I have tried the "complete attention" line, but it gets a sigh and a rolling of the eyes. And of course, the following week he has no clue what I was talking about. It is so frustrating!

Get hair long enough to get that 10" strand Lois Lane always goes for and send it off to that outfit that makes hairpieces for children with cancer. Two reasons: 1. Helps children. 2. Hoss loves short hair.

Your witch is sexy, but she needs a baby bump! Love the new look. It must be a fall thing, huh?

Well I love long hair. But I'm biased. I do find it much easier to maintain than short hair, though... Just do what makes you feel good.

I love old cemetaries, too. Always have.

Hi from hot and humid Florida, Angie! I thought of you a bit ago as I made the ultimate concession and went to the mall with Abby for a little mother-daughter shopping spree and, I confess, it was fun. One of the things we did was go to Baby Gap to buy a gift from Abby for our friends back home who are expecting their first. They STILL don't know- or claim not to- with just a fe weeks to go so we bought all unisex clothing. All totally soft and lovely and we both said, "We want to hold a baby."
The absolute best old cemetery on the whole planet- maybe in the whole solar system- is on the tiny Island of Isle de Mujeres in Mexico. When I'm not running on battery I'll write you a note about it and send pictures.
The new look is quite hot and holiday! Love it.
