Mr. Darcy has decided he doesn't like the snow and refuses to stand in it for any reason. Making the animals go out for bathroom breaks results in pretty much having to chase them out the door.
Have you got one of
these gadgets? It is not fancy. It isn't electric. It is a diaper pad on a stick with a scrubber pad and a battery powered spray bottle. But I tell you it will save the hell out of your back if you have as many floors to mop as we have in this house. I am not one to buy all the new fandangle money wasters that come out on the market but I am glad I bought this one. It really did the job! Oh and don't be taken in by the spam about Swiffer harming pets. That is an untrue urban legend that really needs to stop. I guess a company as large as Proctor and Gamble will always have to fight some form of lies and slander about their products.
And while I am hawking products this morning ... the
Tide To Go stain pen -ROCKS! Handy dandy little stain remover has found a home here with me.
Today I am baking.
Hershey's kisses cookies and
Red Velvet Cake.
Judy, are you using Windows XP? If so the snow applet in my head graphic might be blocked as a pop would. Look at the top of the page and see if you have the little message that XP blocked something from loading on the page. If so, unblocked it by right clicking and selecting the proper option. I am still hunting for other reasons why you can't see it.
Here is a screenshot so you can see the graphic not in action but as I see it on my laptop.
Thanks, Angie! How beautiful it looks. Yes, I do have windows xp, but I don't get the pop-up message when I click on to your site. I don't know what the problem is, but now that you have shown me the pic, I don't feel so deprived.
Save me some red velvet cake!
I don't have a Swiffer but now that you have given them the seal of approval, I may get one. I usually don't buy stuff like that either, and I always wait to see which ones are the most popular before I buy.
Great updates, Angie! I recently purchased the Swiffer Wet Jet but have not yet had the chance to put it together and try it out but I am looking forward to it - even more so now that you've raved about it! I started with their dry mops and the regular wet pads and those are convenient for "quick" cleaning as well. I also like their dusters that come with the extended handle - great for ceiling fans and mini-blinds.
Happy Holidays to you and your family!
Oh yes! We are a swifter family. Its great for the paw prints and foot prints in the mudroom.
I'm almost done baking but I have my Hershey Kiss Cookies left to do. Love the pic:)
Love the pics!
Add Mr Clean Magic Eraser to your household products list....great product.
I haven't tried the Tide pen but now I most certainly will!
~K!
I have been wondering about that tide to go pen. Also would like to try the bleach pen thing. Hmm maybe good stocking stuffers for the hubby :)
I love your holiday template the snow around your house is beautiful!
Hoo boy. Red Velvet Cake. Another 21 bottles of red food coloring off the shelf. (22?)
I am chuckling at your description of the swifter, don't think they will use it in their marketing. It is a handy item. Thanks for the link to see the photo since the applet will not work for me either.
What? Didn't you hear? Proctor and Gamble are SATANISTS!!! (Har) I love my swiffer--and pretty much want to make out with Mr. Clean on a daily basis--so even if they're sacrificing baby kittens in their factories, I'm still going to buy. Satanists 1, Penny 0.
(And dude, will you rest or something? Because I don't know if you've noticed or not, but YOU'RE PREGNANT. You're making all us non-pregnant lazies look bad.)
I am proud to say that I, too, am enjoying a swiffer lifestyle. Except I don't have the fancy one. On your recommendation, though, I am seriously considering buying it.
We make those cookies too...but we call them Peanut Butter Blossoms. YUM!
I have Windows XP with every single pop up blocker I can possibly install on my machine active and I am able to see the snowfalling applet just fine....with no pop up blocking warning at all. It might be Judy's browser that's blocking her view.
Well, then, BOO HISS to my browser! How do I get it to stop?
Swiffer never caught on with me, but my mom swears by it.
Your cat is pretty smart.
Hey Judy...email me and we'll see if we can figure this out together. (karan@flummel.com)
