Honey Do's and Angie Did's
It was a big weekend here with MUCH work being done. I am nowhere near being caught up on my to do list but we are slowly mucking through it.
Finish chipping and shredding along fence line
Pressure wash back deck
Pressure wash side porch and concrete
Build new steps to the tobacco barn (now pool house)
Cut down self seeding brush from along fence line.
Weed eat along backyard fencing inside and out
Haul away 2 loads of debris
Go to Lowes and watch Steven choose MANY tools because he insists he can't build/cut/plan any project without new power tools.
Come home with router, workbench and bit set.
Realize he is researching shotguns. Go with him to purchase one along with a case, cleaning kit, ammo etc etc etc
Take trash to the landfill. Come outside shortly after and see he left half the trash in his hurry to get to the dump and back. (what the hell is up with this? EVERY single weekend when he has to take off the garbage he leaves garbage behind because he 'did know it was trash"!! How can this be?)
Make 2 trips to Walmart. For bucket and cheap mop for deck sealer. Come back with those items plus 2 movies, kids a bathing suit and pool noodles.
Start taking photos of the work being done then forget and only have a couple of 'In the beginning' photos not worth the effort to down load and upload to the journal.
Fall into bed each night with tired body, sore arms and a wonderful sense of jobs well done.
Be the one to wake up during the night to feed the baby more than once while a husband snores away the minutes oblivious to any signs of life around him.

I am tired just thinking about that!
You can never go to walmart for just one thing!
Happy Monday!

Went to my son's graduation on Saturday.
Gave a fabulous engagement party for my daughter on Sunday.
Tweaked my back putting away champagne glasses.
Thought I accomplished a lot until I read your check list, lol.

Ain't that always the way (men sleeping through it all)! LOL
Sounds like you had a productive weekend, Angie. I don't know how you do it all!

I did a lot of that weeding and disposing the weeks before our birthday party. My honey does the lawn, but not the weeding. We've never really discussed why. He also loves powerwashing, but I'm always worried he's going to weather away our flagstone too quickly doing it. Anyway, we don't have all that much of either. I'm just glad we did all that.
And congrats to you!!

As usual, my list was much longer than my actual accomplishments over the weekend. But I did get some yardwork done. Hey, do you have to take all your trash to the landfill or do you have pick-up service for the regular trash?

We have a massive "going to the dump" collection growing in our garage. Lord help the man (not me) that has that chore!
Sounds like a wonderful weekend besides your lack of a good night's rest. That will come soon too. Looking forward to pictures of all your busy-ness :)

my husband's motto is "the proper tool for the proper job", said with a grin and a shrug of his shoulders. Which naturally necessitates many trips to the Depot or Lowe's. And what could be wrong with that? :)

So surprized, after all the beautiful garden shots, etc. to hear Hubby and you ran out and got a gun......like that was the next logical thing to do after pruning???
I'm in Canada...we really don't want/like guns so that really stood out for me.
Enjoyed your beautiful grounds though.
