The Rarest in All The Lands
Me: Gracie, what will you have for dessert?
Gracie: Hmmm, what can I choose from? She shifts Steven from one hip to the other.
Me: Chocolate cake or ice cream.
Gracie: I think I am going to have sweet baby sugar. She begins to kiss Steven all over his face and around his neck making him giggle.
Gracie: It's the rarest form of sugar in all the lands. She grins at me while trying to balance a baby half as big is she is in her arms.
Me: Silently weeping watching my baby girl love my baby boy.
Raising children who love and care about one another is one of the most beautiful things in all the lands.

Agreed. I love my sisters more then words can say and am grateful for my parents encouraging that.
That is one of the things which brings me not only great joy, but a sense of comfort. Knowing my daughter and son will always be there for one another.
Amen.
That made me tear up, Angie. I hope I live to see the day when my girls will show love and appreciation for each other, instead of jealousy.
"sweet baby sugar"
I love that.
...and it's the hallmark of great parenting!
Angie, your children are so wonderful. And you have done such an excellent job of raising them to be loving and respectful.
I am forever going to use that phrase "sweet baby sugar"
~K!
Awww! That's beautiful!
Sweet baby sugar is right. You raise wonderful children Angie. Sweet as pie and good as gold :)
I found your blog by accident, glad I did. Love your house. It has long been my dream/goal to live in the Blue Ridge Mtns. of Va. I have spent many, many summers, Easters and Thanksgivings in an area a few hours south of your place. You sound as happy and content as I know I will be when I finally get there. Right now I am trapped in a situation (marriage), that prevents my moving for now. But I am counting the days, can't wait till I'm no longer a 'yankee'. (I've never posted a comment before, hope I'm doing this right)
