I gave my husband the first season of the Star Trek tv series.
We both are fans of Star Trek -not Star Wars.
He gave me a micro sd card for my new cell phone and the data cable to connect to my laptop.
We have the same phone. He can use it, too.
This is the first time I will not get flowers for Valentine's Day. That would because of the freaking 3 inches of ice we are sitting under. He won't be going to the office today. Therefore he won't be bringing home a bouquet of pink roses or tulips.

On a more romantic note - I also got McLintock and Sense and Sensibility. I bought them for myself. Two very different movies yet both very romantic. I love them both. Even more so because I found McLintock at Target for $5 and Sense and Sensibility at Best Buy for $5.
I also love a good deal. I will search a $5 and under movie rack until I have looked at every case hoping for a treasure of a movie hidden within. Yesterday I was a winner on two counts. Yeah, bargain movie racks rock!
Steve gave Steven a copy of Guess How Much I Love You. The best father-son book ever written.
The girls each got Valentine decorated things: a pair of socks, a pair of panties, a small box of chocolates, a card and a heart/cupis hole punch. Along with a movie. Colby's choice was Marie Antoinette. Gracie chose Tuck Everlasting. My girls have lovely tastes in movies, too.
Do you give your children Valentine's or is the day strictly for yourself and your sweetheart?
I have actually bought both my kids presents...and nothing yet for my sweetheart. My son got a game for his Gameboy, and my daughter got a pair of earrings and a bracelet. They're pink and white created sapphires set in sterling silver. Her little wrist is too small for the bracelet just yet, but it will be something that (hopefully) she'll keep for years.

Hubby got a nice card, a nice dinner and evening out (this Saturday because we don't make enough time for ourselves), a goodie bag of his favorite treats and a new silver tie he's been dying for.
My son got a card with some money in it and a small goodie bag of his favorite valentine's treats.
My 2 year old daughter got a few new books and a cute Valentine's t-shirt from Target so I can take her picture and send out Valentine's a little late.

I always get a valentine and a gift from my mom! She makes a big deal out of it for us all!
Everyone is getting presents today...including the dogs! We haven't opened any because hubby works until 5. Happy Valentines Day!

We get the kids a heart of variety chocolates just like I used to get from my dad each year. Also a card and a book since I will use any occasion to buy them a book.
I had my friend who makes gift baskets deliver a teddy bear, candy and balloons to my mom from the kids.
HP and I made plans for dinner on Friday - I had the same friend who makes gift baskets make him a basket of his favorite beer, nuts, and a gift card to the restaurant, and balloon and deliver it to him. I prepaid for movie tickets (non-refundable). I lined up a sitter (my mom). Now, obviously, it's all off. I did find a friend to take the movie tickets and she never has funds to go to the movies so that makes me feel better.

We just do cards for each other. I used to buy cards and small gifts for my kids and their kids, but now that is 14 people to buy for - so we stopped.
Angie, THIS florist doesn't want flowers, she only wants a back and foot rub and a nice warm bed to sleep all she wants. Thank the Lord I don't have to get up early and work tomorrow!

We gave our sweet boy his first valentine today!
I didn't do anything for anyone and my husband gave me a card, my son gave me a card, and my daughter gave me a card.
Now, I feel like a tool.
Sometimes Amazon has a section of DVDs for under $5 and under $10; I've found some good ones that way. Also, if you have a Big Lots (or Odd Lots) near you, you can find some great deals on movies.
