He Did It Anyway

Steve came home yesterday with not only pink roses but also pink tulips. Jack Frost and Mother Nature did there best to do in our Valentine's Day but you know you can't keep true love down. I married the perfect guy.

With school closed for snow and ice Gracie has been doing a great job keeping Steven entertained.

This puppy is from a S.C. breeder. Gorgeous!
I am looking for a breeder near me for one (or two, or three) of these bluetick hounds. A boy needs a dog to grow up with and this is the dog I choose. I would prefer a larger dog (maybe a gascon) not those little rabbit dogs. Steve wants no part of it. He doesn't want another pet and doesn't understand the dog in this house is NOT my dog, it is leftovers from his first marriage and after the time she shit in every bed we own I hate her. I do. I don't feel guilty about it either. At 8 years old, she wants no part of playing with the baby. She has barred her teeth at him once. He has been warned she is on the fast track to a new home if it happens again. No, it wasn't provoked either.

Steven has not slept well. We have been up and down most of the night. It is going to be a very long day.

Beautiful tulips. I planted some in my flowerbeds. I hope they pop their little heads out soon.

Just make Steven read "Where the Red Fern Grows". Then he'll understand. That's a beautiful dog.

You got a keeper there!

What a great husband you have! But you know that, don't you? Great dog. We have 2 beagles. They were great with the kids when they were little - never, ever any biting! Digging, yes - biting, no.

Got to like a man who makes and effort and love a man who succeeds in the romance department.
I'm partial to Golden Retreivers and for me it's the dog I'd have around children. My husband is reading the Casar Way book (dog whisper guy) and if he thinks he is convincing me to get a dog he is wasting his efforts, lol.
Steven is really going to hate it when Gracie goes back to school.

I'm still in shock from the cussing dog post; not because of the cussing per se, but because that's not how I pictured you !! But boy, I don't blame you for one second and I'd get her permanently away as fast as I could!
Gracie is looking really grown up!

Steven is a keeper (the flowers are lovely) but any dog who bears his/her teeth to a child is not a keeper, he should be LONG GONE.

You married a wonderful guy ! The dog story reminds me of my sisters 2 dogs. I felt so bad for you. If that dog runs away do not spend any time looking for it. I know that you watch that dog like a hawk around the baby.
Happy V Day !!

Beautiful flowers!

A dog??? Don't you have enough stuff to keep you busy???

Love the flowers and the pup!! I've managed to put off our next dog until the summer "when everyone can help". We'll see...

They are back in school. Hooray!!

The flowers are gorgeous! So are your children. Very lucky woman!

The dog story is hilarious only because I know exactly how you feel. The day that my chihuahua growled and SNAPPED at my daughter (my daughter was two years old at the time) he's been on a VERY.SHORT.LEASH! TEN YEARS LATER he's still here & still a nasty little sh*t (literally). Having him has taken away any desire for me to ever have another dog! EVER!

Sorry for the double posts. The first one didn't go through (I thought)!

Poor baby! I'm trying to comment on the most recent flu-ish post. I'm sorry you're down for the count-hop back soon. Beautiful flowers lit up a stressful week, yes? And beautiful children and husband light up your life.
