Out, Out I Say
Yesterday I had to get out of this house. I had not been anywhere since Wednesday of the week before last due to all manner of illness. Sometimes it is just too convenient to let Colby stop and pick things up on her way home from school/work.
So, when everyone was off for their morning to begin their day, Steven and I took Gracie to school. We went to the post office and mailed the monthly bills and to make a return of a package.
We went to Target to return a duvet that was not in any way the color it appeared online. While there we walked around and browsed. We took our time and Steven toddled along with me stopping to look at many things. We wasted 2 hours in that store. And we bought somethings for Easter baskets.
We then went to Walmart. To return a thing. We spent almost an hour fighting those crowds. Taking our purchases to the car was a relief.
We then went to Costco. I buy spinach in a 2.5 pound bag for $1 more than the grocery sells an 8 oz bag. Steven likes the cooler with the blowing air. He also loves the samples. He sampled nearly every thing available.
I did something I have never done before while at Costco. At 1:30 I was hungry and Steven was finished nibbling. I had not eaten since 6pm the day before. We ate lunch at Costco. We had a Hewbrew National Hotdog and a Diet Coke. $1.50 for lunch. It was a HUGE hotdog. It is cheaper to have lunch at Costco I believe. The food was good, fresh and hot. Unbelievable.
We came home and put all of our dairy and veggie purchases away.
Then we went out with Colby and Gracie.
Steven got his first haircut yesterday. I was embarrassed by his shaggy, uneven, go every which way hair. I was also tired of waiting for Steve to want to go with me. So I did it myself.

The barber could not believe such a little boy sit still and let him give him a real boys hair cut.
Where I come from most barbers are thrilled to give a first haircut and usually do so for free. This one did not.
Look how handsome my boy is.

Steven is styling now. Did you save the hair?
The buns they use at Costco with their hotdogs are yum-o. Sometimes, I secretly hope the line is really long to get one, so I don't tempt myself. Nobody would be fooled that I haven't ever eaten one since I know the exact amount before they ring it up, lol. Their roasted chickens are the best.

Awwww, he's a little boy now - a baby no longer!
The hotdogs at Costco are mr. kenju's favorite and you can't beat the price of lunch there!

Shopping is good. And it's also good to get out of the house.
For my Mom's 49th birthday, my kids wanted to take her out for lunch. Where did they want to go? Costco! For hotdogs and poutines. So that's where we went. ahaha
Love the little guys haircut. I remember giving my son his first haircut and feeling the same way about his hair. Such a handsome little man you have there!

Little Steven looks soooo cute. I am still amazed at big Steven's comments to you . Next time he does some "man job" and complains make sure you tell him that you were standing right next to him at the time and are just as tired. What are men thinking ? After my mom gave birth at 45 yrs old my dad said " this is just as easy as when we were 20". Yes, he is still alive but just barely.

SO handsome!! Did you save a lock of his hair.
sorry I've been MIA. I've missed you.
Loved your post about Steve and his "going through labor, etc." As if! My HP likes to say the same thing more or less and it TICKS ME OFF.
