We got snow for Easter.

3 am Saturday morning
It certainly is lovely in the beginning. It is also a bit exciting to think of it snowing in spring. This is a very odd thing for a girl from middle Georgia.

Down the driveway.
Gracie is very upset because she is very sure it will be too cold for her lovely open toed new shoes and spring dress for Easter Sunday. I certainly am in awe of this oddity. I, too, have open toed shoes for my Easter dress.

Across the back yard.
I am still a bit stunned at having snow this far along in Spring. Can you tell this has sort of blown a fuse in my head?

Apple blossoms.
I guess it goes to show you that you can take the girl out of Georgia and bring her to Virginia

but you can't take Georgia out of the girl and snow the day before Easter just isn't right. Happy Easter to you all.

It is just too weird! My daughter is driving down here this morning from DC, and she called and said she was driving through sleet (below Petersburg) - great globs of sleet is the way she put it. It is very cold here, but luckily we have no snow. What about your plants and flowers, Angie. Will the snow protect them from the cold winds?

Hi Angie! Checking in from ITALY!!!!! Sorry, I'm still in a state of frenzied excitement. No snow here. Lovely blue skies and absolutely perfect temperatures for walking and sightseeing. Happy Easter, honey!

Angie,
The house looks magical ! I hope you will use these photos for a beautiful Christmas card one day. I live in Maryland and was surprised to be dealing w/ snow also. We got less than you did.
I hope that Gracie can still wear her new dress and shoes. (maybe inside)? . We all remember the excitement of new things at the holidays. I remember a very warm Christmas and not being able to use my new ( fake) fur coat. The sadness.
A blessed Easter to you and the family. The bee

Um. It snowed in Texas too. DIdn't stick, but it snowed. In April. During Elle's soccer game. It was kind of weird.

The snow is lovely though. Spring? Where are you?
