Bounty

This is the current daily harvest
harvest1.jpg
Squash, 2 lettuces, 3 peppers, cucumbers
harvest2.jpg
Peas and grape tomatoes
harvest3.jpg
Cabbage
Can you beleive the size of that cabbage? We have to get in gear and eat more salad. The weather is turning hot and the lettuce is trying to bolt. Eat more lettuce. Eat more lettuce. Eat more lettuce. We might turn green. But I am NOT complaining. Oh, no. I love my garden! I have eggplant, zucchini, okra and bell peppers almost ready to harvest! I have been eagerly anticipating these days!

It's HUGE.

Wow, that seems like a lot of produce for late June. Your grocery bill must be dwindling as more and more stuff ripens in the garden.

It's bigger than Steven!! I envy all that fresh produce, but not the hard work it took to get it.

I am having an Anne Geddes moment, could you take out the cabbage and put Steven in the middle for a photo, lol. Reminds me of when my daughter was young we took her to GA to the Cabbage Patch Hospital.

Wow, that's one HUGE head of cabbage!!! I'm quite impressed with your gardening skills. One day soon we hope to start a garden. :)

Angie, can anything be done with the outer leaves of a cabbage that big? I would be inclined to just use the head, but it seems a shame to waste such nice big leaves!

I have more tomatoes than I know what to do with right now and I am NOT complaining! I will have to put them up somehow. Maybe I'll make a bunch of salsa.

Never would be a complaint here either. I love fresh vegetables! LOVE them!

First time here and have enjoyed your writing style and photos.

Your bounty is appetizing... I'm also in VA and getting tomatoes, cucumbers and green beans now.

Are there any peas and tomatoes left? They look delicious! And the cabbage? Just buy a 50# piece of corned beef and some potatoes and you're all set to feed the entire town. Nice farming, m'dear! Thought fondly of you last night when I had a chance to admire 'your' plant thriving up in Rich's office with a view towards the fireworks.

Now I believe cabbage patch kids may actually be possible! WOW!
