Flight Plan
Since you all have no real interest in my goats how about this - There are all sorts of nests left over from years past in our barns. They are high up in the rafters where we can't easily get to them - which I guess is the whole point of the birds building their nests up there - so nothing can get to the babies.

Sometimes the barn swallows come back and use them again. Tuesday as the girls got a pedicure my camera lens found this is the roof.

It is a little late in the season but these guys are looking ready to test their wings.

look at those cute little guys!
Angie,
Just thought I would let you know I love your blog. I have been reading for about a year. I am living my country life vicariously through you!
Thanks for sharing!
I love your goats, Angie! and the baby birds are nice too. I wonder what made the mom have them so late in the summer? (Oh, I know WHAT made them, but why?.....LOL)

I miss barn swallows! When I was a kid on hot summer days, I'd got out to the barn and hold my thumb over the hose to the cow's water trough making a fine mist and the swallows would swoop and swirl in it. They are the cutest birds-unless you get too close to their nest-then they'll mess up your hair trying to convince you to go away!
I love the goats. You can tell they have personalities just by looking at them. What a hoot!
