Soap Bubbles

I have been soaping again. I am getting my stock numbers up and trying to cure as much as possible between now and May 1st.

This year I will be at the local farmers market and will be selling my soaps, eggs and other handmade items to help support my habit. As of now I was told there are no other soapers. Yaaaay!

From left to right: Salt bar (smells like the beach), Lemon curd (will cure to a light yellow, made with lemons and eggs, smells like lemon curd) up front Lavender with lavender buds (you guessed it, smells like a feild of lavender).

From left to right: men's soap - bay rum with grits, a really clean sexy scent with cornmeal both for exfoliating, front: lemon poppyseed scrub bar, lemon verbena kitchen soap and oatmeal and honey bath bar.

As soon as these cure they will be available for you too. I'll put a link in the sidebar so you can share in the luxury of handcrafted soaps.

One thing I want you to remember - if it isn't made with lye it is not soap. It is detergent. Most commercial made 'soaps' are not soap at all. They made soap, took out the glycerin, sold it for big $$$ and then sold you what is left with some chemicals mixed in to make you think you are getting good stuff.

Be smart. Buy real soap. Support handcrafters who are trying to keep it real, keep it natural and keep it healthy for you and the environment.

Which would you recommend for someone who's allergic to everything?

Angie said:

When I scent the soaps I do so VERY lightly. The only oils I use are palm, olive, coconut and castor. Some soaps I make with lard (omg creamy face soap) or the vegetarian version with shortening. I would say try a plain bar and work your way through the scents. I have never had anyone be allergic to anything I have made.

I haven't commented in a while, but am so glad your farm is coming together so nicely - I am happily watching from afar - you are a wealth of knowledge! Please do email when you start to think about shipping your soaps - i love handmade and natural. Thanks so much!
