My mother is here. No time for everything!
This is the turkey I cooked for Thanksgiving. I thought my almost 3 year old would be a good size comparison.
He was so big I didn't have a pan to put him in. We took 2 of the 25lb disposable foil pans and pieced them together. We then made blankets of foil and wrapped them to be drip proof.
A bit of preparartion and in went the bird.
12 hours later we had turkey. It was the best turkey I have ever eaten.
Last years turkey (bourbon red) was not as good as this one.
Next year?
I am raising Naragansettes. A rarer breed heritage turkey.
Dinner anyone?
