Walden Farms No Carb Ketchup

carbketchup.jpg

Colby is a ketchup eater. This diet has wrecked her eating habits as far as having meats with ketchup.

When I saw the Walden Farms brand listed as 0 calaries and 0 carbs I felt it was worth try. The cost of the bottle at over $5 almost made me change my mind but I didn't. I am trying to help her not make her stumble.

We have tried some of the Walden Farm items in the past and while they have promise they often come up short on y expectations. They actually perpetuate the notion that diet food tastes like fake and rubbery sustitutes for the real thing. I tried to keep an open mind this time as I always do when trying something new for the first time.

Initially tasting the product I didn't expect alot. I wasn't too let down in that reguard. It tasted more like cocktail sauce to me than ketchup.

For supper I had cooked steak and shrimp. With the beef the sauce did not taste at all like real ketchup. With the shrimp it didn't really taste like cocktail sauce. Adding grated horseradish made it a fairly good cocktail sauce.

For ketchup it is a loser. For cocktail sauce it is a winner. A double winner at no calories and no carbs.

There is the link and I know that I have this in my fridge but I did not buy nor have I tried it but I will try it for Colby and have a review for you! As I am a fellow Ketchup LOVER I understand where she is coming from.

This stuff is awful! It tastes like mold and vinegar, not at all like ketchup. I don't know how this product sells, it almost made me throw up. I'll stick to regular ketchup.
