Set Back
I think I have thrown a wrench into my own works this week. I will weigh in tonight before my shower and pray I have lost a pound.
I have been keeping close track of my carbs. As you all can see by these posts that appear daily with a grocery list of foods on them. But do you notice anything?
I do.
I have been steering myself to low carb foods and eating them daily, staying under the 20 carbs a day allowance, not drinking enough water but not consuming enough protein either.
I think my lack of much weight loss this week will be due to my failure to consume meats and meat products.
I eat eggs every morning at some point most days. This gets the motabolism going. But through the day the thought of eating an egg or having some meat is just making me sick so I have without much thought turned to the other low carb foods to fill my hunger needs.
You see in science it takes a fat to melt a fat. A low carbs diet is essentially melting the fat from your body. I don't think I melted much this week.
I am not complaining. Just working through a thought process so that I am aware of what I have been doing. I am going to try to steer clear of this beginning today. Give me strength. If you hear a horrible wretching noise across the internet please forgive me I will be trying to force down meat or eggs today and not a lovely 5 grams of pasta carbs, or 2 grams of salad green carbs or 3.5 grams of avocado carbs.
A quick note on the avocado. I was in a super Walmart the other day and there were haus avocados for 50 cents each. Normally they would be something like $1.79 each. Since we love avocado I picked up a great big sack of those handgrinades and have been indulging. It is a fruit! It is low carb! See how I tripped myself up? It is not protein.
Anyway I have to force the protein today. Please wish me luck.
